According to a report of the Financial Times, the British intelligence agency is recruiting homosexual spies want their current staff to be more open about sex-related topics.

Chief executive of Stonewall, a lobby that defends the rights of homosexuals, Ben Summerskill assured the financial newspaper to have been hired by the Security Service, better known as MI5, in order to help the agency to increase the number of applications coming from homosexuals.

“Historically, they used to hire white men, heterosexual, who takes the 16:30 train to return to Tunbridge Wells,” said a gay activist, who added that the decision of MI5 “is a recognition that the ruling class is slowly changing and increasingly is a reflection of society. ”

The British intelligence agencies have tried in recent years to expand the network of recruitment. The foreign service MI6 first published press announcements offering jobs in May 2007 and also launched its own website.

On the other hand, the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), the center of British eavesdropping, has placed ads in popular video games in an attempt to attract lovers of new technologies.
