Description:
One of London’s finest historical landscapes covering 142 hectares (350 acres), there’s something for everyone in Hyde Park. With over 4,000 trees, a lake, a meadow, and rose gardens horse-riding paths and more, it’s easy to forget you’re in central London. There are many species of birds, butterflies, and water birds. Play tennis, or swim or boat in summer in Serpentine Lake. There is a children’s playground at Edinburgh Gate, as well as an education centre (The Lookout), which can be booked by schools. There are four cafés and restaurants: The Dell, with views of the Serpentine; The Lido Café; The Hyde Park Tennis Centre Café; and Speakers Corner Kiosk. Several refreshment kiosks are located in the park.
