Colony Theatre
The refurbished auditorium has a seating capacity of 440, which includes disabled-accessible seating. The Colony is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Colony Theatre has recently emerged from a dramatic three-year, $6.5 million renovation/restoration to reclaim its place as the region's premiere mid-sized performance space. The entrance, façade and lobby have been returned to their original Art Deco grandeur, and the interior features a new, larger stage house, additional lighting, and state-of-the-art theatrical rigging and sound systems.
Jackie Gleason Theatre
For over fifty years the Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts has been South Florida's home for the best in Broadway, music and dance! The 2700-seat Theater offers a year-round season that includes comedy, concerts, ballet, and television productions.
Miami City Ballet
With 46 dancers, the Miami City Ballet is one of the largest ballet companies in the United States. The Company has four home counties in South Florida: Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Collier. Founding Artistic Director, Edward Villella, was the first American-born male star of the New York City Ballet. He was awarded the National Medal of Arts and was inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame.
